We are seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Business Office Manager to lead the daily financial and administrative operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care billing, accounts receivable management, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, and exceptional customer service skills.

Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all business office operations, including billing, collections, accounts receivable, and resident trust accounts.
- Manage Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, private insurance, and private pay billing processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate claims submission, payment posting, and follow-up on denied or outstanding claims.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and implement collection strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Coordinate resident financial admissions, insurance verification, and financial counseling with residents and families.
- Assist families with Medicaid applications and financial eligibility requirements.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, CMS, HIPAA, and facility policies.
- Prepare monthly financial and accounts receivable reports for facility leadership.
- Supervise, train, and support business office personnel.
- Collaborate with the Administrator, MDS Coordinator, Social Services, Nursing, and Therapy to maximize reimbursement.
- Ensure resident trust funds are managed in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Respond professionally to resident and family inquiries regarding billing and financial matters.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of Business Office experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, Medicaid, Managed Care, and private insurance billing.
- Experience managing accounts receivable and collections.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and billing systems (PointClickCare experience preferred).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
