We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machinist/Toolmaker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision tooling and components. Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes while maintaining safety protocols and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
Summary
Under minimal supervision, set up and operate CNC (Computer numerical controlled) machinery to manufacture metallic and non-metallic parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following, however, other duties may apply)
· Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
· Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints
· General understanding of measuring instruments
· Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
· Ability to power on, set up and operate CNC Lathes and mills with minimal assistance
· Must be self-motivated with ability to multi-task
· Must be proficient with FANUC, OKUMA, HAAS controls
· Properly identifies use of inserts, grades, chip formers, fixtures, and tooling
· Understands and has the ability to perform geometry and tool wear offsets
· Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
· Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment
· Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department
· Proficient at understanding and have the ability to follow manufacturing processes and procedures
· Utilizes and abides by AS9100 requirements and safety procedures
· Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions
· Communicates openly with co-workers and management, both verbally and in writing
· Attends and participates in scheduled meetings
· Is flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customers or company as warranted
· Communicates honestly, professionally and respectfully with others and demonstrates effective listening skills
· Other duties as assigned
Compensation and benefits:
· Job Type: Full-Time, First Shift
· Competitive salary and full benefits program, including PTO and 401K with company match
· Hourly wage: $22-$28+ DOE
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
