POSITION DUTIES: Provide professional and courteous customer service to patients. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
● Manage phone, email and in-person communications
● Schedule/cancel appointments
● Process, record, and reconcile payments
● Gain strong understanding of insurance (how acupuncture benefits work, what patients need to know, documenting insurance detail, etc.)
● Quality assure patient, insurance, and billing detail
● Document accounts with accurate and timely information to assist staff in patient/account handling
● Develop skilled knowledge of EHR software (Jane)
● Clean treatment rooms
● Stock supplies as necessary
● Assist managers and practitioners as necessary
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma required (associate degree or some college helpful). Six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with scheduling software is beneficial. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Professional and courteous attitude towards patients and fellow staff members. Understanding of and strict adherence to high standards of patient confidentiality.
HOURS: Varies; typically 12-20 hours per week. Shifts may range from 4-8 hours depending on availability. Clinic is open Monday - Saturday.
