Accurate Staffing is currently hiring a Quality Lab Technician / Production Support Associate for a growing textile manufacturing facility in Conover, NC.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a balance of computer-based work and hands-on production responsibilities. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable working with testing equipment, and capable of maintaining accurate records while also assisting with various production and facility support tasks.
What You'll Do
As a Quality Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality by performing testing procedures, documenting results, and communicating findings to management and production teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform routine visual inspections and quality testing on fabrics and finished products
- Conduct testing using specialized equipment, including tensile testers, hydrometers, flame testing equipment, spray tests, drop tests, and sample weight measurements
- Evaluate products against established quality standards and specifications
- Identify defects or inconsistencies through observation and testing
- Record and maintain detailed testing documentation and quality records
- Communicate test results to management, production, and customer service teams
- Assist with investigating quality concerns and recommending corrective actions
- Utilize Microsoft Office programs to create reports and maintain records
- Assist with office paperwork and administrative tasks as needed
- Help maintain clean and organized office and work areas
- Support production operations and assist with training new employees when needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications
- Previous quality control, laboratory, manufacturing, or textile experience preferred
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to accurately document and report information
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable performing both desk-based and physical job duties
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and move throughout the facility as needed
