Duties
- Prepare and serve meals during scheduled rounds, ensuring adherence to portion sizes and presentation standards
- Assist with menu planning by following dietary guidelines and special requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cooking stations, adhering to strict food safety protocols
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients efficiently
- Support catering events or special meal services as needed with timely food production
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices throughout all kitchen activities
- Collaborate with dietary aides and kitchen staff to deliver seamless meal service in a fine dining or healthcare setting
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Strong culinary skills with proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and knife handling
- Knowledge of menu planning, food safety standards, and food industry best practices
- Experience working in fine dining establishments or catering environments is a plus
