JOB Judicial assistants are
vital to the workings of a court system
. This position performs work of moderate difficulty in carrying out administrative and general office duties in addition to providing varied administrative support for a judge, division of judges, a supervisor, or a group of supervisors. Work involves providing customer service (reception) and answering questions involving services provided by the Courts.
Hours of Work

Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Performs routine and relatively complex administrative support and/or technical assistance work for division judges

Maintains docket and/or calendar system for tracking and managing cases as they proceed to disposition

Analyzes and monitors the processing of cases in accordance with court rules and established practices

Research service needs and process changes of court operations

Enters and retrieves data and prepares reports

Prepares routine and special correspondence, reports, forms, and documents

Coordinates arrangements for meetings, seminars, trainings, and other court related activities

Maintains office supplies in central supply area

Reviews and disburses incoming mail

May serve as a receptionist providing information to the public and as a telephone clerk
