Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 5 axis laser operator to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will operate advanced 5 axis laser cutting machines to produce precise components for various industries. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure high-quality production and efficient workflow. Duties
- Set up and operate 5 axis laser cutting machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are maintained.
- Program CNC laser equipment using CAM programming software, ensuring precise cuts according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to produce accurate parts.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of laser machinery, including Fanuc controls and other CNC systems.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify dimensions and quality of finished components.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling equipment; assist with fabrication, assembly line tasks, and packaging as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine settings, and quality control inspections to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating 5 axis laser cutting machines(NTC/Prima) in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precision machining.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in tooling setup, welding, stamping presses, press brake machines, and fabrication processes.
- Hands-on experience with quality control instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring devices.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and machine adjustments; factory or warehouse experience preferred.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus; safety-conscious attitude essential for working in a manufacturing environment.
