A busy and growing title company is seeking an experienced Title Abstractor/Title Examiner to join our team.
Qualifications
- Maryland title abstracting experience preferred.
- Experience reviewing title or abstracting in states other than Maryland is a plus.
- Ability to examine and interpret deeds, mortgages, deeds of trust, liens, judgments, easements, restrictions, plats, and maps to determine property ownership and title status.
- Strong understanding of title defects and the ability to identify and document potential title issues.
- Experience analyzing chains of title, researching defects, and preparing accurate title reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with CaseAware, LPS, Tempo, and other title industry software preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize workloads effectively.
- Ability to meet client deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct title searches and abstracting for Maryland properties.
- Review public records and title documents to verify ownership and identify encumbrances.
- Analyze chain of title and resolve or report title issues.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely title reports.
- Work closely with internal staff and clients to ensure timely completion of orders.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
