Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cake Icer & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for cake artistry, strong attention to detail, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality decorated cakes for birthdays, weddings, celebrations, and special events.
Responsibilities
- Ice, frost, and finish cakes to company quality standards.
- Decorate cakes using buttercream, piping techniques, and other decorative elements.
- Create custom cake designs based on customer requests and bakery specifications.
- Prepare decorative components including flowers, borders, lettering, and themed decorations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
- Assist with production planning and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with bakery team members regarding customer orders and production schedules.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience decorating cakes in a bakery or specialty cake shop.
- Strong buttercream icing and piping skills required.
- Experience with custom cake decorating preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Schedule
- Approximately 30 hours/week but can vary based on time of year.
