Position: Senior Shop Mechanic
Schedule: 5/2
Location: Odessa, TX
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00/hr

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily shop operations and ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule
- Supervise and manage technicians in the back shop
- Assign tasks to technicians based on workload, priorities, and skill level
- Provide guidance, training, and support to technicians
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary
- Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, electrical hydraulic winch, and other power tools
- Perform routine maintenance including inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, A/C repairs, trailer repairs and other preventive maintenance actions
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications and DOT requirements
- Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of repairs and rebuilds
- Step in and perform technician duties as needed to meet operational demands
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and proper repair procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment

- Pre-employment drug screen, hair follicle, and on-going random drug screening will apply
- Effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and other personnel
- Walking, bending, stooping is required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate Degree in Auto/Diesel Mechanic Technology or similar program highly preferred
- ASE Certification or ASE Master Technician Certification; Inspection Mechanic License and Ford Certifications highly preferred
- Previous Lead Technician or Supervisory experience required
- Ability to manage and direct a team effectively
- Experience with parts ordering and inventory coordination
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on shop environment
- Must be able to pass all onboarding requirements including valid driver’s license and clean driving record, background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, and Agility
