Collaborative Solutions in Psychiatry is a fast-paced and rapidly growing psychiatric practice in need of a highly-motivated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. Main job duties will include but are not limited to:
- Answering incoming calls; triaging patient concerns according to degree of urgency; assisting other clinics/agencies with care coordination for mutual patients; ensuring professional and courteous phone interactions
- Greeting patients & visitors and ensuring that the clinic is a clean and welcoming environment; managing patient visits according to clinic standards, anticipating provider needs and working with other support staff to improve quality & efficiency of patient visits
- Assisting patients with scheduling appointments; responding to inquiries from potential intakes
- Maintaining accuracy of demographic/insurance information in patient files
- Collecting payments and assisting the billing specialists with insurance claims
- Honoring patients’ right to privacy and confidentiality; adhering to strict patient, customer, and business confidentiality standards
- Providing essential administrative and patient-care support to the clinic in the form of assisting patients with medication refill requests, completing prior authorization requests for insurance consideration, sending referrals for assessments and labwork, responding to incoming and outgoing records requests, conducting in-office assessments and screenings, monitoring voicemails and making/returning phone calls, and managing incoming faxes
Other applicant requirements include:
- Proficiency in medical terminology is a must; knowledge of psychiatric/pharmaceutical terminology is preferred
- Office experience and strong computer skills are required
- Highly organized individuals preferred
- Relevant experience: 1 year required, 2+ years preferred
- This role is a good fit for a pre-professional candidate seeking additional patient care experience
Starting salary of $20.00 per hour depending on experience level
This position is full-time and requires availability Monday-Friday 7am-7pm (timing of actual shifts to be determined based on clinic’s needs).
