Heavy Diesel Mechanic –
This is an afternoon shift. Hours are from 11a - 930p
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Align and assemble engine components to ensure proper functioning
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, power tools, and automotive diagnostics
- Familiarity with schematics and technical manuals for various equipment brands, such as Caterpillar
- Ability to operate heavy equipment for testing and maintenance purposes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions
