We are seeking a caring, patient, and dependable One-on-One Educational Aide to support an elementary school student throughout the school day. The successful candidate will work closely with the student and classroom staff to promote learning, independence, and a positive school experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to an assigned student
- Assist with classroom activities and daily routines
- Encourage participation, social skills, and independence
- Support positive behavior and follow individualized strategies
- Help the student stay engaged and on task
- Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications
- Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning or behavioural needs is an asset
- Patient, compassionate, and reliable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow direction and adapt to changing needs
- ABA Training preferred
- Working with students who have autism
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
