Job Summary:
M1 is looking for a Senior Logistics Manager. M1 Support Services’ Senior Logistics Manager .Leads and oversees enterprise-level logistics operations in support of the T-38 Aircraft Maintenance Program, ensuring the efficient acquisition, accountability, and lifecycle management of materiel, equipment, and services across multiple operating locations. Responsible for maintaining the integrity and audit readiness of Government Furnished Property (GFP) and contractor-managed assets in compliance with applicable federal regulations and United States Air Force standards. Directs supply chain strategy, demand forecasting, and inventory control processes to sustain maintenance operations and optimize mission readiness, including management of critical supply actions such as MICAP requisitions. Serves as a key advisor to program leadership on logistics performance, budget execution, and cost control, while fostering strong partnerships with military stakeholders and driving continuous process improvement across logistics functions.
Primary responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:
- Oversees efficient and effective acquisition of materiel, services, and information between points of origin to meet customer requirements across all operating locations.
- Reports directly to Contractor Program Manager to provide logistics updates and management of Contract Line-Item Number.
- Ensures overall health of Government Furnished Property and logistics functions in support of all operating locations.
- Manages all GFP, Contractor Acquired Property, IT hardware, communications devices, Land Mobile Radios and property incidental to the performance of this contract using a life cycle approach, reflecting identifiable characteristics of each asset IAW FAR Part 52.
- Ensures physical existence and audit trail completeness of all GFP in support Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness.
- Manages all supply database reports and listings and coordinates with Government PM for signature when required.
- Develops training regimen to alleviate and prevent negative supply trends.
- Ensures customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to meet marketing and financial objectives.
- Ensures execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes to include supply database system replenishment, data interchange systems, demand forecasting management, electronic data systems administration and related functions.
- Ensure support equipment is managed utilizing a life cycle approach Builds relationships with strategic military partners through logistics initiatives.
- Supervises logistics function for T-38 Aircraft Maintenance Program.
- Interacts with Lead Command (AETC), regional supply Base Operating Stock (BOS) managers, Logistics Readiness and depot level supply managers to aid resolution of supply sustainment constraints.
- Manages Mission Impaired Capability Awaiting Parts (MICAP) requisitions, prepares MICAP reports, and submits supply assistance requests.
- Prepares and submits requests for adjusted stock levels, additive bench stock and Customer Oriented Leveling Technique to sustain maintenance and flying hour operations.
- Serves as company purchasing agent. Manages annual budget for Operations & Maintenance and Material Support Divisions.
- Prepares and submits reports on cost savings on company purchased assets, munitions expenditures, and forecasts for full scale and subscale operations.
- Prepares and submits munitions requests, and out-of-cycle issue requests.
- Monitors and tracks expenses for company supplied personal protection equipment.
- Schedules Company owned vehicles for maintenance.
- Tracks and maintains company owned vehicle expense records
- Additional relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is required. Military or civilian aircraft maintenance supply support training and certifications.
- General mathematics skills are desirable. Must speak, read, and write English with the ability to interpret operating instructions in same language.
- Knowledge of principles, concepts and applications of logistics directives, data reporting, and using technical data is mandatory.
- Minimum 12 years military or contractor Air Force supply experience with at least 5 years in aircraft decentralized materiel support and/or regional supply chain operations.
- Experienced with accountable property system of records, ILS-S and DPAS.
- Datamining experience with BLADE is desired; to include, basic knowledge of mathematics, familiarization with the accountability of USAF property, knowledge of supply policies and procedures and principles of property accounting through manual or automated systems is mandatory.
- Attain APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) within 12-months of being hired.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily performed in aircraft maintenance facilities, hangars, and on active flight lines at a military installation.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and other environmental elements while performing duties outdoors.
- Regular exposure to loud noise levels, aircraft exhaust, fuels, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, solvents, and other chemicals common to aircraft maintenance operations.
- Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with Company safety policies and Government requirements.
- May require working extended hours, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts to support mission requirements and operational tempo.
- Work environment may involve elevated stress levels due to time-sensitive mission demands, safety considerations, and operational deadlines.
- Must be able to safely navigate aircraft surfaces, ladders, platforms, and maintenance stands while observing all safety protocols.
- Position requires compliance with all base access, security, safety, and occupational health requirements
