Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using specialized tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and engine system issues on motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles
- Conduct repairs including engine overhauls, brake replacements, suspension adjustments, electrical diagnostics, welding, soldering, and assembly of various vehicle components
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to repair and maintain mechanical systems such as transmissions, suspensions, and chassis
- Troubleshoot basic vehicle problems and perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire replacements, and brake servicing
- Apply dealership standards for quality control while ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed during all repair procedures
- Assist with the assembly of new vehicles and perform heavy lifting as required for parts installation or repairs
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and recommendations
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in motorcycle or powersports vehicle repair
- Service technician experience with automotive engine system repair and diagnostics
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, electrical diagnostics, and automotive diagnostics equipment
- Mechanical knowledge of motorcycle systems including engines, brakes, suspension, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies
- Hands-on experience with all-terrain vehicle repair and basic troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to operate motorcycle and powersports vehicles safely for testing purposes
- Skilled in welding, soldering, suspension work, and heavy lifting to handle diverse repair needs
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment necessary for mechanical repairs
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance best practices to ensure longevity and optimal performance of motorcycles and ATVs
