Basements Plus is looking for an experienced, professional in-home sales consultant to help Michigan homeowners improve, protect, and expand their homes.
This is a full-time, 100% commission opportunity for a proven salesperson who knows how to build trust, uncover homeowner needs, present high-value solutions, and confidently guide customers through an important purchasing decision.
We provide company-generated appointments. You focus on running an exceptional consultation and closing business.

Income Opportunity
This is a performance-based, 100% commission position.
- First-year earning potential: $150,000+
- Established specialists have earned more than $250,000 annually
Your income will be determined by your sales performance, appointment results, and ability to follow a proven process. These figures represent earning potential and are not guaranteed.
What You Will Do
As an In-Home Sales Consultant, you will meet with homeowners at scheduled appointments and help them determine the right solution for their home.
Depending on your experience and assignment, your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting professional in-home consultations
- Inspecting basements and identifying homeowner concerns
- Asking thoughtful questions and actively listening to customer needs
- Recommending appropriate basement finishing, waterproofing, or foundation solutions
- Developing and presenting project concepts and proposals
- Explaining product benefits, project scope, pricing, and financing options
- Providing accurate quotes
- Addressing homeowner questions and concerns
- Guiding customers through the decision-making process
- Maintaining accurate customer and appointment information
- Following up professionally when needed
- Representing Basements Plus with honesty, integrity, and professionalism

Qualifications
- 3 or more years of successful sales experience preferred
- In-home sales experience strongly preferred
- Experience in home improvement, residential remodeling, real estate, home inspection, roofing, windows, siding, HVAC, foundation repair, or a related industry is a plus
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- High ethical standards and personal integrity
- Competitive, self-motivated, and results-oriented
- Comfortable using basic computer and mobile technology
- Ability to learn construction concepts, products, and pricing
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
Construction or remodeling knowledge is helpful, but the ability to learn, connect with homeowners, and follow a proven sales process is more important.
