Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Maintenance to lead and oversee our facilities maintenance operations. Duties
- Supervise and manage facilities maintenance teams, ensuring all maintenance repair procedures are executed efficiently and safely.
- Oversee the inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, and other mechanical systems.
- Utilize schematics, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and tools like ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to optimize equipment uptime and reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits, training staff on safety procedures, and maintaining accurate safety records.
- Coordinate project management activities related to facilities upgrades or repairs, including planning, budgeting, and execution oversight.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety compliance for audit purposes.
- Lead initiatives to improve facilities management processes by implementing best practices in industrial maintenance and leveraging Microsoft Office tools for reporting and communication.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams within an industrial or large-scale environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems (including high voltage), plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, engineering troubleshooting methods, and the use of testing tools such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and ability to enforce safety standards across teams.
- Experience managing facilities using CMMS software; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is essential for reporting and documentation.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management, communication skills in English, and the capacity to motivate staff towards operational excellence.
- Electrical experience including working with both low voltage and high voltage systems; familiarity with HVAC systems is highly desirable.
