SUMMARY:
As the Shipping and Receiving Technician you will be responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, storage, and shipment of raw materials, machined components, and finished products in a CNC manufacturing environment. You will ensure inventory accuracy, prepare shipments, maintain shipping and receiving records, and coordinate with production, purchasing, and quality teams to support efficient workflow while following safety and quality standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive incoming materials, supplies, and customer shipments
- Verify quantities and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage
- Enter receiving, inventory, and shipping transactions into the company's MRP/ERP system
- Maintain accurate inventory records and material locations within the system
- Identify, label, and ID stamp finished parts according to customer and company requirements
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and revision levels prior to packaging and shipment
- Ensure proper product identification, traceability, and documentation
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas
- Package and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer requirements
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, certificates, and related documentation
- Coordinate shipments with UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits
- Support production personnel by staging and moving materials as needed
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous shipping and receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience using an MRP/ERP system in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory transactions
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software
- Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to become certified)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment is a plus
- High School Diploma
