# Now Hiring: Visitor Services & Operations Assistant
The Carousel Museum | Bristol, CT
Looking for a fun, rewarding part-time job in a unique museum?
The Carousel Museum is seeking a friendly, dependable Visitor Services & Operations Assistant to help create memorable experiences for our guests while supporting the museum's daily operations.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with people, especially children and families, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed. No two days are exactly alike!
Schedule
- Approximately 12-15 hours per week
- Mostly weekday daytime hours
- Some weekends and evening hours required for museum events and special programs
What You'll Do
- Welcome visitors and provide outstanding customer service
- Process admissions, memberships, and gift shop purchases
- Answer phones and assist with general office duties
- Help prepare the museum for daily visitors, birthday parties, school groups, and special events
- Assist with event setup, operation, and cleanup
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming museum environment
- Support museum staff with a variety of operational tasks as needed
We're Looking For Someone Who Is
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and enjoys interacting with the public
- Comfortable working with children, families, seniors, and school groups
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Comfortable learning new computer systems and handling cash or credit card transactions
- Able to stand, walk, lift up to 30 pounds, and stay active throughout the day
- Flexible and willing to help wherever needed
