Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Resort Housekeeper to join our dynamic hospitality team. Duties
- Perform detailed cleaning of guest rooms, suites, and public spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
- Handle chemical products safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures
- Conduct floor care activities including vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning to maintain impeccable surfaces
- Manage heavy lifting tasks related to linen, supplies, and cleaning equipment to ensure efficient workflow
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and effectively in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by thoroughly disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Use janitorial experience to troubleshoot cleaning challenges and ensure all areas meet hotel housekeeping standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a resort or hotel housekeeper with strong custodial or janitorial background
- Skilled in floor cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning methods and floor care maintenance
- Knowledgeable in the use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners
- Familiar with hotel housekeeping management practices and hospitality industry standards
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining compliance with SDS guidelines
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach toward guests and team members
- Capable of manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety at all times
