Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Carry out specialized floor care including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to maintain high-quality flooring appearances
- Assist with custodial responsibilities in both commercial and residential spaces to ensure environments are tidy and inviting
- Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues requiring professional attention
- Utilize industrial cleaning equipment for large-scale cleaning projects in warehouses or manufacturing facilities
- Maintain safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial duties or related fields such as facilities maintenance or porter roles
- Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping), industrial cleaning methods, and general sanitation practices
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers or industrial vacuums safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely and complete tasks efficiently
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Nice-to-have skills include residential painting experience or familiarity with commercial cleaning standards
