Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail team and drive store success. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain optimal inventory levels. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the retail team, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff performance to ensure high standards of customer service and operational excellence
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS system management, and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and purchasing to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while promoting a positive shopping experience for customers
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews for new hires, and ongoing training & development initiatives to enhance team skills
- Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, budgeting, and operational reporting to maintain financial health of the store
- Foster a collaborative team environment through effective managerial communication and leadership skills
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail store environments with a focus on sales team supervision and operational oversight
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management systems, POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations
- Strong background in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Experience with grocery or retail store product knowledge is a plus
- Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail stores is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
