Travel Ultrasound Technologist (OB/GYN) - Must live 80+ miles from the facility.
Location: Brunswick, GA
Schedule: 40–41 Hours/Week | Night Shift
Position Overview
Facility is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a high-volume OB/GYN outpatient practice located minutes from the Atlantic Coast. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of obstetrical and gynecological ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
The ideal candidate has strong OB/GYN ultrasound experience, is proficient with GE VOLUSON ultrasound systems, and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires the ability to communicate significant preliminary findings to clinical staff while maintaining exceptional image quality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality OB/GYN ultrasound examinations following established imaging protocols.
- Conduct a minimum of 12 or more ultrasound examinations per day, based on provider schedules.
- Perform a variety of obstetric and gynecologic imaging studies, including:
- Pregnancy confirmation
- Viability scans
- Nuchal translucency studies
- Detailed fetal anatomy scans
- Fetal growth assessments
- Biophysical Profiles (BPP)
- Umbilical artery Doppler studies
- Gynecologic ultrasound examinations
- Follicular monitoring studies
- Operate and maintain GE VOLUSON ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure proper patient identification, positioning, and preparation prior to each examination.
- Review patient history and clinical indications to ensure appropriate imaging.
- Recognize abnormal or significant findings and provide accurate verbal preliminary observations to clinical staff when appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with OB/GYN physicians and healthcare providers to support timely diagnosis and patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all studies are completed according to departmental standards.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance guidelines.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report technical issues promptly.
- Deliver compassionate, professional care while maintaining patient privacy and comfort.
Required QualificationsExperience
- Recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Strong experience performing OB/GYN ultrasound examinations
- Experience in a high-volume outpatient women's health or OB/GYN practice preferred
- Experience performing at least 12+ examinations per day preferred
- Experience communicating significant preliminary findings to providers or clinical staff
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
Required Certifications & Licensure
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) OR
- ARRT (Sonography) Certification
- Valid Driver's License (must be included with submission)

- Wednesday: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Thursday: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Friday: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Saturday: 7:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Total Hours: Approximately 40–41 hours per week
Pay: $2,380.00 per week
