Overview
We are a third-party administrator (TPA) located in Miami, Florida seeking experienced, motivated professionals to join our team. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess exceptional organizational and research skills. You will play a vital role in managing legal documentation, supporting litigation processes, and providing administrative assistance that ensures the smooth operation of our office.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of five years’ experience working as a para-legal or legal assistant in a fast-paced law office environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as Legal Tracker.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Education: Associate’s degree or higher in Legal Studies or a related field.
- Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Experience in malpractice law is a plus.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and proofreading; strong transcription abilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed document review and data entry with precision.
- Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette; ability to interact confidently with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures including filing systems, data entry protocols, and clerical tasks within a busy legal environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, proofread, and format documents/correspondence.
- Manage case files, ensuring all documents are organized, filed, and up to date in the case management software.
- Upload and save all correspondence, discovery responses and medical records into the company’s claims management software.
- Schedule appointments with court reporters, retain expert witnesses and interpreters when applicable.
- Communicating with clients, attorneys, and vendors.
- Assisting Claims Representatives with administrative and case management tasks.
