Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various types of cabling systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work with different networking technologies. As a Cable Installer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients have reliable connectivity and communication systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair cabling systems including Ethernet and fiber optics.
- Utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to test electrical connections and ensure proper functionality.
- Work with Cisco routers and other networking equipment to establish connections.
- Perform fiber splicing as needed for network installations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to cabling and connectivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during installations.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding installation processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cabling, telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and skills related to installation processes.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts and practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques in the field of cabling.
- Most be able to pass a drug test and background check.
- MOST HAVE A TRUCK OR VAN TO WORK OUT OF
