Duties
- Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and prenatal massage tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern
- Educate clients on self-care practices, pain management strategies, and occupational health tips to support ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment notes, ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their goals, address concerns, and foster a welcoming environment
- Stay current with industry best practices and new techniques through ongoing education and training in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and massage therapy advancements
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed by maintaining certifications such as CPR and adhering to hygiene standards
Skills
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to connect empathetically and professionally with diverse clients
- Expertise in trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, and prenatal massage techniques
- In-depth knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to effective treatment planning and pain management
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate treatment options clearly
- Excellent customer service skills that foster trust and client retention
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health and occupational health considerations
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) or equivalent safety training required
- Effective client communication skills for explaining procedures and addressing client concerns confidently
