Shift Manager – Noodles & Company – Manchester, CT
Noodles & Company in Manchester, CT is hiring a Shift Manager who can lead busy shifts, keep the team organized, and make sure every guest gets great service from open to close.
We are looking for someone with real leadership ability, not just someone who can run a station. This role is for someone who can manage people, handle pressure, stay calm during rushes, and hold the team accountable to our standards.
What we are looking for:
- Experience leading high-volume shifts in a restaurant or fast-paced business
- Ability to prioritize food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction during busy periods
- Strong communication skills with team members and guests
- Ability to hold team members accountable for attendance, performance, uniform, food safety, and company policies
- Experience handling call-outs, adjusting deployment, and keeping the shift running smoothly
- Understanding of labor control, staffing, food safety, sales, guest feedback, and daily operations
- Ability to identify when a shift is not meeting expectations and take corrective action quickly
- Positive attitude and ability to build a strong team environment
- Must be dependable, professional, and willing to work nights, weekends, and peak business times
Main responsibilities:
- Lead the team during assigned shifts
- Set the tone for guest service, speed, accuracy, and cleanliness
- Assign team members to the right positions based on business needs
- Support training and coaching of team members
- Manage breaks, deployment, and labor during the shift
- Handle guest concerns professionally
- Follow all food safety and company standards
- Communicate issues clearly with the General Manager and leadership team
- Help improve operational results such as labor, food safety, speed of service, accuracy, and guest satisfaction
