Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes while ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables and marinating proteins.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input for seasonal dishes.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus, as well as knowledge of catering services.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques are essential.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
