American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and current ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.

20-bed Level 4 trauma-designated Emergency Department seeing over 35,000 patients annually
-
General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric populations
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
-
13-week assignment length
-
Patient ratio of 1:4

Meditech charting system used
-
Active TX or compact RN license required
-
Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
-
Preferred certifications: CPI, NRP, and SANE
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Emergency Department required

Prior travel nursing experience required

Skilled in emergency care across pediatrics, trauma, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, and cardiac cases

Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of high-acuity patients preferred
-
Preferred experience in charge nurse roles, teaching hospitals, community hospitals, LTAC, and Level I/II trauma centers

Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, psychiatric emergencies, and pediatric cases

Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including testing for marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted

Must work 3 of the 5 winter holidays
