Join our dynamic team as a Pawn Broker and Sales Associate, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while managing pawn transactions and retail sales. Responsibilities
- Assist customers with pawn loans, appraisals, and merchandise purchases, ensuring clear communication of policies and procedures
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory management
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits of merchandise, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Maintain accurate cash register operations, including cash drawer handling
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean, inviting, and well-merchandised
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Support inventory management through stocking, and merchandising shelves
- Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds regularly
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially in jewelry, electronics, or firearms
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills coupled with phone etiquette are essential for engaging customers effectively
- Experience conducting product demos or upselling techniques will help maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling cash transactions accurately
