JOB TITLE: Weaver
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Senior Machine Operator
*Previous Weaving or textile experience is required*
PURPOSE: The weaver makes sure assigned waterjet weaving machines run efficiently with minimal defects.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Knowledge of all general plant safety rules & absolutes.
2) Operate equipment in a safe manner
3) Meet production goals set-out by department manager
4) Follow proper policies and procedures and job specifications set out by department and location
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Knowledge of Weaver policies and procedures
2) Completing daily team maintenance (DTM) activities
3) Auditing safety items in department
4) Patrol assigned set of machines looking for stopped machines that are supposed to be in production
5) Operate water jet weave machinery by repairing end breaks and starting up mechanical failures
6) Walk backs of the machines. Complete light inspections on each machine twice per shift.
7) Identify and get cloth and machine defects corrected.
8) Creel in filling as needed.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1) Ability to read, write, and follow directions
2) Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
3) Basic Math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
4) Attention to Detail-thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task ensuring all aspects are reviewed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: FREQUENCY, AMOUNT, OR DESCRIPTION
Standing: Approx. 11 hours/day spent monitoring and operating weave machines
Sitting: Break time (75 mins/day)
Moving: Continuous from machine to machine 11 hrs./day
Lifting: To locate filling packages to creel (1-18lbs.) 300 times/day.
Climbing: To reach walk boards on approximately 100 machines continuously/6 inches high.
Push/Pull/Reach: Reaching over harnesses to repair warp breaks. To get packages off filling trees. When working on back of machine to reduce mat up. Distance =3 feet.
Bending: To repair warp stops.
Visual Acuity: Must be able to see defects in fabric.
Other: Must comply with the Company rules, including but not limited to Safety, Attendance, and other job specifications.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud.
Pay: $17.63 - $21.54 per hour
