Duties
- Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets through effective management and coaching.
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and merchandising plans to attract customers and increase store traffic.
- Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, pricing, stock replenishment, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure smooth transactions.
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills in customer service, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
- Manage staffing schedules, shift management, payroll processing, and employee performance evaluations to maintain a motivated workforce.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure an outstanding shopping experience that encourages repeat business.
- Utilize retail math skills for budgeting, sales analysis, inventory control, and pricing adjustments to optimize profitability.
- Supervise inventory control procedures including stocking, merchandising, and stocktaking to prevent loss and ensure product availability.
- Coordinate with marketing teams on promotional activities and wireless sales initiatives to boost store visibility and sales volume.
- Ensure compliance with company policies on cash handling, cashiering procedures, phone etiquette, and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail sales or a similar leadership role with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued.
- Demonstrated expertise in recruiting, interviewing candidates, employee orientation, training & development.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping practices, payroll processing, and retail math.
- Experience in retail industry sales team management including store management duties such as merchandising, stocking, pricing & marketing.
- Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on team management, operational oversight, budgeting & financial acumen.
- Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence.
- Previous assistant manager or operational management experience preferred; familiarity with supervising staff in retail settings is essential.

Pay: $60,134.36 - $72,419.87 per year
