We are seeking a professional and personable Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience. This role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with hospitality management systems, and the ability to handle guest inquiries efficiently. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued to enhance guest relations and support diverse clientele. The Front Desk Agent plays a vital role in maintaining guest satisfaction, managing reservations, and supporting overall hotel operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures using property management systems (PMS) such as OPERA or similar hotel management software
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications through hospitality reservation systems
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing accurate information and resolving guest inquiries
- Provide exceptional guest services, addressing requests promptly and courteously to ensure a positive experience
- Maintain knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest safety at all times
- Assist guests with concierge services, including local information, amenities, and special requests
- Process payments accurately and handle cash or credit transactions following proper phone etiquette and customer service standards
- Support night audit procedures as needed, ensuring financial accuracy and reporting compliance
- Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest needs efficiently
- Uphold high standards of guest relations by resolving issues promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Previous experience with front desk operations, or hospitality preferred; resort experience is a plus
- Proficiency with property management systems (PMS), especially Synxis or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to assist diverse guests effectively
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and client interaction
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Hospitality management background is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
