Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries or demonstrations
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and integrity
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales goals
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Provide product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Practice excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and merchandising activities
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
Experience
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is advantageous for leadership opportunities
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail settings is desirable but not mandatory
