Program Aide
General Summary:
Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, the Program Aide plays a vital role in providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for participants in general recreation programs and day trips. This position involves supervising participants, safely transporting participants in a program vehicle, facilitating activities, and fostering positive relationships with participants and staff.

Job Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older
Responsible for the safety and well-being of participants, following protocol regarding the handling of behaviors and special needs of all participants.
Communicates all pertinent issues affecting activities to supervisors and other staff.
Establishes good rapport with families of participants as well as keeping them informed about any concerns affecting participants.
Organizes and maintains daily schedules of activities.
Must have a valid Driver's license.
Working Environment/Physical Activities:

Noise level: moderate to loud.

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Work will be in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Regular driving is required, including operating a passenger van to transport participants to and from designated drop-off and pick-up locations.
Ability to stand more than 8 hours a day.

Ability to lift 40 lbs.
