Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will be responsible for dispensing prescribed medications as a part of a treatment team in partnership with Physicians, Physician Assistents and Nursing Supervisors. The LPN will share responsibility of maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory, and reporting patient treatment information. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in the addiction treatment setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Accurately dispense and administer medications.
- Assist with patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health record systems.
- Support patients by ensuring comfort and dignity.
- Collaborate with healthcare team.
- Educate and consult patients relating to their medication regimen.
- Be involved in all areas of patient care, including physicals, bloodwork, lab specimens, and recording the results of the tests.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
- Maintain reports as required by state and federal regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance nursing skills.
- Clinic Hours: Monday through Friday and Saturday. Part time hours are available and flexible.
Experience
- Current LPN license in good standing.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Computer proficiency and knowledge with working with Methasoft is desired.
- Experience in Substance Use Disorder preferred.
- Must have a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
