Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.
Job Summary: Remove cloth from looms and keep Weave Room clean.
Tools and Equipment used: Doff truck and fabric cutter.
Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:
- Vacuum/clean assigned looms and creels.

Vacuum overhead lights in weaver and warp alley.

Keep floors swept clean throughout shift.

Collect selvage waste and take to recycling area.

Clean assigned stairs.
-
Clean air conditioning vents.
-
Doff cloth when looms flagged.
-
Advise supervisor if no ticket flagged is located. Do not doff cloth to cloth room without ticket.

Empty trash cans as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Work scheduled overtime.
Safety:

Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.

Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.

Maintain 5 S standards.
- Ear protection required and other PPE as needed.
Qualifications:

Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.

Meet all pre-employment requirements.
- Basic reading, writing, and math.

Must be able to consistently lift 25+ lbs.
