Alternative Home Health is seeking a passionate PTA ( Physical Therapy Assistant ) to join our growing team. As a PTA , you would be able to work independently, be dependable, compassionate and have a desire to help others. The Physical Therapy Assistant ( PTA ) will travel to patients' homes and be responsible for administering individualized patient care and perform duties accordance with physician orders. As an PTA you are under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services.
PTA Responsibilities
- Treat patients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function
- Monitor a patient's activities to make sure they are performing them correctly and to offer encouragement
- Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for patients
- Document patient’s weekly progress in appropriate records
- Maintain the office treatment areas, equipment, and supply inventory
- Instruct patients, their families and any other caregivers in skills and techniques of the patient's treatment program
- Maintain valid certification
