Responsibilities of the Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Responsible for personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing and grooming
- Responsible for cooking and nutritional guidance
- Perform light housekeeping services and laundry
- Provide medication reminders
- Provide exercise and physical assistance
- Provide conversation, companionship and mental stimulation
Requirements of the Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Recent experience as an HHA
- New York State HHA Certification Required
* Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate of PCA certificate
* ID/Permanent Resident Card
* Social Security
* Physical that includes PPD/ Quantiferon, drug screen, Rubella and Rubeola. Must include lab reports as well.
