Position: Extraction Technician - Night - Santa Ana
The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Extraction Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining decarb and distillation equipment to separate and purify substances through distillation under reduced pressure. Your duties will include setting up and monitoring extraction and recovery processes, troubleshooting equipment issues, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining detailed records of lab and production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and maintaining this type of equipment, great mechanical aptitude, familiar with the applicable chemistry, and experience with vacuum distillation techniques, and actually enjoy the individual and team work of making great products with great consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain extraction and ethanol recovery equipment.
- Set up and perform decarb and distillation processes according to specifications/SOPs.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of distillation processes and results.
- Collaborate and communicate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Applied Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Power Mechanics, or related field.
- Proven experience with extraction and recovery equipment & processes.
- Strong understanding of core physics principles, laboratory procedures, and logical trouble-shooting.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
