Job Description
Field Service Controls Engineer
following:
Supporting PLC Paramedics Technicians and Customers (either remotely through Team Viewer, or directly on site at the customer location). Researching various brands & types of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other Automation hardware and obtaining the proper software & cable required to support it. Developing Automation projects from scratch, and writing programs for PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and any other automation devices as needed.

Specific Position Requirements –. Additionally, this position requires the following specific
skills:
1. At least 5 years’ experience in Automation Controls with demonstrated ability to develop
programs from scratch with specific completed project examples available for review.
2. The ability to eventually learn and use multiple PLC, HMI, & VFD programming software
packages. Such as RS Logix 5000, Factory Talk Studio, Direct Soft, TIA Portal, Etc...
3. The ability to learn on your own, along with good reading comprehension skills (learning
from manuals). Being able to program devices that you have never worked with before
from scratch.
4. The ability to troubleshoot control systems using a Digital Multimeter (DMM), Laptop, and
other basic electrical test equipment provided by the company.
5. Experience with Computers & Networking, Windows operating systems, VM Ware
experience is helpful although not specifically required.
6. The willingness to drive to customer sites (typically within a 100mile radius, but
occasionally further) on short notice.
7. Occasional response after normal business hours to the customer sites.
8. Excellent organizational skills.
9. The ability to follow, create, and revise procedures as a way of sharing information in the
company and maintaining high, consistent standards.
10.Timely completion and delivery of paperwork and excellent documenting skills.
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
