We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our busy OB/GYN practice. Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during exams and minor procedures.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens according to office protocols.
- Administer injections, medications, and immunizations as directed and permitted by state regulations.
- Provide patient education and follow-up instructions.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and prepared for patient visits.
- Adhere to HIPAA and all patient confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an OB/GYN, women's health, or specialty practice.
- Medical Assistant certification or diploma from an accredited program.
- Experience with lab specimen collection and processing.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
