Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electronics & Controls Technician to support troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing equipment and industrial control systems in a fast-paced production environment.
This position is responsible for diagnosing electrical and electronic issues, supporting automation systems, improving equipment reliability, and assisting with preventive maintenance activities. The ideal candidate has strong experience with industrial electrical systems, controls troubleshooting, and manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, motors (AC/DC), VFDs, HMIs, PLCs, electrical heaters, and fan heaters.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay logic.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain electrical panels, conduit systems, and EMT bending projects.
- Use multimeters and diagnostic tools to test voltages, currents, resistance, and continuity.
- Support preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety codes, NFPA/OSHA standards, and company protocols.
- Collaborate with mechanical, automation, and production teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, relay logic, and multimeter usage.
- Skilled in electrical conduit bending, EMT, and panel upgrades.
- Experience with electrical heaters, fan heaters, and AC/DC motors.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards.
Preferred:
- Technical certification or trade school training in electrical systems.
- Experience with automated industrial systems and motion control.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
