Description:
As our NDT Level II Inspector, you’ll perform and evaluate non-destructive testing on cast components, ensuring every part meets customer specifications, industry standards, and our internal quality requirements. You’ll work across departments — from melt and molding to machining — and play a direct role in maintaining product integrity from start to finish.
What You'll Do
Inspection & Testing

Perform UT, MT, PT, and VT inspections per Level II written procedures

Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment for cast materials and geometries

Identify shrinkage, porosity, cracks, inclusions, and other casting defects

Verify conformance to customer specs, drawings, and industry standards
Quality & Documentation

Document inspection results and acceptance/rejection decisions accurately

Maintain records per ASTM, ASME, and AWS standards

Support internal, customer, and third-party audits
-
Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for casting defects
Requirements:
Required
-
Current ASNT Level II certification in UT, MT, PT, or VT
-
Non-Destructive Testing experience in a foundry, casting, or heavy industrial environment

Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria

Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

Good communication; ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred

Certification in multiple NDT methods

Experience with radiographic testing (RT) interpretation

Familiarity with ASTM radiographic standards (E446, E186, E280)

Experience with ferrous and/or non-ferrous castings
-
Prior experience in a jobbing or contract foundry environment
