Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Cook menu items with precision, maintaining consistency and quality in every plate
- Support kitchen operations by organizing workstations and managing food safety protocols
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health regulations
- Aid in meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety throughout shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dietary department, dietary aide role, or food service environment preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods
- Strong knife skills and ability to handle various kitchen tools safely
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience working in restaurants or the food industry is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
