Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our dynamic construction and fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality welding operations across various projects, ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and technical specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the successful installation, maintenance, and fabrication of piping systems, sprinkler systems, and structural components. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your welding skills to bring complex plans to life with precision and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and pipe welding in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute welding and fabrication tasks
- Cut, bend, assemble, and install piping systems, sprinkler systems, and structural components using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and pipe fitting to ensure proper fit and function of assemblies
- Maintain strict adherence to NFPA standards, ASME codes & standards, and other relevant safety protocols during all welding activities
- Inspect completed welds for quality assurance using visual inspection techniques and testing methods
- Collaborate with team members on construction site projects, including rigging, pipe installation, and system maintenance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, and pipe welding within construction or industrial environments
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately
- Mechanical knowledge related to pipefitting, fabrication, tube bending, and pipe threading processes
- Familiarity with safety regulations including NFPA standards for fire sprinkler fitting and power tool safety procedures
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment safely and effectively on construction sites
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe installation and fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to pipeline construction and maintenance projects
- Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocol adherence and teamwork
