Join Our House Painting Team
Art Vandelay Painting is looking for an experienced painter to join our crew. We serve high-end residential and commercial clients and we take quality seriously. If you know what you are doing and take pride in your work, we want to hear from you.
What We Need:
This is not a training position. We are specifically looking for someone with real, hands-on experience in all of the following:
- Cutting in clean lines
- Rolling and brushing
- Spraying
- Drywall repairs, floating, and texture
- Full surface preparation
- Great Communication
You should be able to receive direction on what needs to be done and execute it independently, cleanly, and efficiently. We have our own processes and we expect team members to follow them. If you are coachable (regardless of your experience), detail-oriented, and can move through work on your own without constant supervision, you will fit right in.
Our Hiring Process:
We want to be upfront so there is no confusion. Here is exactly what to expect:
- Application — Submit your application to get started
- Phone interview — If selected, we will invite you to a brief phone call to get to know you
- In-person meeting — If the phone call goes well, we will invite you to meet us in person
- Three day on-site trial — You will work alongside our crew so we can see your skills firsthand
- Pause and assessment — After the three days we take a brief pause before making our final decision. We are typically running more than one candidate through this process at the same time, so this is standard regardless of how the trial went. You will be paid for your time immediately after the trial period. We appreciate your patience and completely understand if you want to explore other options during this time.
