Position Overview
Self Storage Advisors is seeking a professional, dependable, and growth-oriented Facility Manager to oversee day-to-day facility operations while also serving as a key support to broader company operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership naturally, and is motivated to grow into increasing levels of leadership and responsibility over time.
The right candidate will be much more than a site manager. We are looking for someone who can confidently lead facility operations, deliver exceptional customer service, maintain strong administrative discipline, support team accountability, and think proactively about solving problems before they become issues. This person should be comfortable balancing customer-facing work, facility oversight, sales, reporting, and operational follow-through.

Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Customer Experience
- Oversee the daily operations of assigned self-storage facilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and by email
- Assist customers in selecting storage solutions that best fit their needs
- Coordinate rentals, payments, customer communication, account follow-up, and tenant support
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally, courteously, and efficiently
- Maintain a professional and welcoming customer experience at all times
- Answer phones and manage customer communication while balancing other administrative and operational duties
Sales, Revenue & Performance
- Meet or exceed sales goals for rentals, protection plans, and occupancy support
- Follow up on leads and convert inquiries into rentals
- Support revenue growth through consistent execution, attention to detail, and urgency in customer follow-up
- Assist in monitoring pricing, rental activity, and property performance
- Help identify opportunities to improve results, customer experience, and operational efficiency
Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities
- Maintain organized filing systems, records, reports, and annual inspection documentation
- Complete weekly and monthly reporting accurately and on time
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and property management software to support daily operations
- Assist with bookkeeping-related tasks, operational documentation, and general administrative support as needed
- Maintain professionalism, consistency, and accuracy in customer correspondence, reports, and internal communication
Property Appearance, Maintenance & Compliance
- Maintain facility appearance and complete regular operational and maintenance checklists
- Sweep units, pick up trash, monitor grounds, and support curb appeal
- Perform light maintenance and minor repairs as needed
- Identify and communicate maintenance, safety, or security issues promptly
- Help ensure facilities are operated in a safe, compliant, and professional manner
Leadership, Team Support & Operational Ownership
- Perform at a high level with minimal supervision while working collaboratively in a team environment
- Take initiative, solve problems, and make sound decisions with professionalism and good judgment
- Step in to support other facilities when needed
- Assist with training, team support, and creating a strong culture of accountability and service
- Help remove barriers, improve communication, and support operational consistency across sites
- Contribute ideas, identify inefficiencies, and support process improvement within the business
- Take on new responsibilities with a positive attitude and a desire to grow

Qualifications
- 3+ years of customer service experience preferred
- Prior experience in self-storage, property management, office management, retail management, hospitality, or a similar operations-focused role strongly preferred
- Sales experience and comfort working toward performance goals preferred
- Leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred
- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software systems
- Administrative and organizational experience required
- Some bookkeeping, budgeting, or financial/recordkeeping experience is a plus
- Must be willing to work on-call for emergencies as needed
- Must be available to occasionally support other facilities as needed
- Must be comfortable working some weekends and some holidays as business needs require
- Must be comfortable driving in all weather conditions as needed
- Clean criminal background required
