Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Motorgrader Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating motor graders to level and prepare surfaces for paving, grading, and other construction activities. Your expertise will help ensure the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of earthmoving operations on various construction sites. Responsibilities
- Operate motor graders with precision to level terrain, create slopes, and prepare surfaces for paving or other construction processes
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, water trucks, dump trucks, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with the construction team to interpret project plans and specifications for grading tasks
- Perform basic maintenance checks on heavy equipment including Caterpillar graders and other machinery used on site
- Follow safety protocols diligently while operating heavy equipment around other machinery like tankers and paving machines
- Assist with site preparation activities such as excavation, backfilling, and material spreading using loaders and bulldozers
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with project standards
Experience
- Proven experience operating motor graders in a construction environment with a strong understanding of grading techniques and site preparation processes
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, water trucks, dump trucks, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, and paving machinery
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and best practices for operating large machinery safely
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is highly desirable
- Prior experience working on infrastructure projects involving paving or road construction is preferred
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in operating various types of heavy vehicles such as dump trucks and water trucks is required
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
