Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team, supporting meal preparation, food safety, and kitchen operations in a vibrant food service environment. This role offers an energetic opportunity to contribute to nourishing others while honing your culinary and food handling skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation, following established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food production
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all food service areas
- Support menu planning by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service
- Handle food safely, adhering to safety standards in production and food handling procedures
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting catering events and special meal services
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred
- Food service or restaurant experience demonstrating strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of food safety management and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation
- Skills in operating kitchen equipment, knife skills, slicing techniques, and cooking methods
- Familiarity with safety standards in food production environments
- Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and support team collaboration
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
